A F F I L I A T I O N The term "Affiliation" means attaching smaller institutions to a larger one as a branch or to rank oneself under the banner of another. this attachment is however subject to fulfillment of some stipulated conditions. National Council for Vocational Training is a central / parent agency set up for coordinating the vocational training programme in the country to bring about uniformity in standards and quality in training in Craftsmen Training Scheme in the country. NCVT on its part has prescribed certain norms & standards covering the whole areas to be adhered to by the ITIs / ITCs for the purpose of quality training namely-
As per the approval of the Hon’ble Minister of Labour & Employment , Government of India , Services of Quality council of India shall be used for verification of infrastructure & training facilities in it is in accordance with the standards set by NCVT. Quality council of India shall grant accreditation to the institutes on the basis of fulfillment of all requirements of accreditation criteria agreed between NCVT & QCI. The accreditation of Quality council of India will be the basis & pre requisite for affiliation by NCVT. QCI accreditation process will have three stages Namely:- (a) Desk Top Review (b) Physical Verification (c) Annual Surveillance The Institute will submit online application to QCI after fulfilling all the requirements of accreditation criteria. There after QCI will ensure to complete accreditation process within three months. QCI will not be responsible for any delay due to non compliance with the requirements.
